ABOUT FP

Our Mission

Since its inception in 2002 by founders Sami Ghawi, Michel Samah and Mo Halabi, FUSIONpresents has been dedicated to “helping artists do what they love.” We’ve mentored hundreds of aspiring artists over the years through our range of professional artist development services, helping them make the jump from basement to stage and beyond! We’re so proud of sharing our knowledge and expertise as we believe whole-heartedly that helping people do what they love makes the world a better place.

Courses

After 30 years of teaching thousands of students all over the world, we have put all that knowledge and learning into what we believe is arguably the best way to learn beginner piano and guitar, both centred around understanding music theory and music as an expression of emotion.  We’ve built two comprehensive & intuitive courses available for all ages, as our mandate is to help all people learn the beautiful language of music.  Learn more

Youth Development Workshops

Our promise to the artists we work with is to take them “From Basement to Stage“ and our partner, the City of Surrey, has stepped up its commitment to grow its local music economy by providing both showcase and development opportunities for local established and aspiring artists. As such, FUSIONpresents hosts the Basement To Stage youth development jams every month at Clayton Community Centre in Surrey, and is also involved in the City of Surrey’s annual BandAid, a day dedicated to musical youth development. FUSIONpresents also hosts monthly artist development workshops online, interviewing local music industry professionals who shed light on their roles in the music economy. Prior to the pandemic, FUSIONpresents hosted the decade-long All-Ages Sunday Night Jam at West Beach in South Surrey/White Rock giving countless aspiring artists a chance to rock!  Learn more

Music Industry Collaboration

Collaboration is the key to success, and at FUSIONpresents we pride ourselves on the long-standing and amazing relationships we’ve established and nurtured with many major players in the music industry. At the top of our list are music retailer Long & McQuade (Port Coquitlam) and legendary music companies, Fender and Roland. These three companies have proven to FUSIONpresents time and time again how dedicated they are to artist development and to the vision of a world full of music and love. Thank you for your continued support of FUSIONpresents!

Growing the Local Music Scene

FUSIONpresents has partnered with the Surrey Board of Trade to open the Music City Centre at the SBOT. This collaboration formalizes our initiative to help build the City of Surrey into a bustling and thriving Music City and economy. Supported by a City of Surrey Culture Grant for 4 years in a row, FUSIONpresents and the Music City Centre produce the Music City Surrey Showcase, highlighting the best Surrey-based local artists in online interviews filmed at the FP Studio, culminating into an annual live showcase at the Surrey Arts Centre.

Quality Live Entertainment

For over 20 years, FUSIONpresents has also been providing reliable & exceptional music entertainment services to companies, non-profit organizations, individuals, and establishments in the leisure and catering sector including hotels, restaurants, bars and lounges.
